Help Us
Conserve and restore Northwest environments

Please consider a gift to North Cascades Institute and join our mission to conserve and restore Northwest environments through education.

Thanks to you and others who care about this special place, the Institute is helping to save Northwest environments through education. Each year, thousands of people participate in field-based programs designed to educate and inspire. Because of what they have learned, they are taking better care of the natural world that surrounds us all.

But, we can’t do it alone. Mountain School, our remarkable environmental education program for children, costs more than $6,500 for each fifth grade class that attends. However, public schools pay about $1,700 and Institute fundraising supports the balance of the cost. Contributions from caring donors like you make it possible for all children to go to Mountain School, regardless of their ability to pay.

Here is what your generous gift can accomplish:

  • $75 would provide Mountain School journals for an entire classroom.
  • $300 could pay for one child to attend Mountain School for three days and two nights.
  • $2,000 Pays for one young woman to attend Girls on Ice.
  • $10,000 sends one group of underserved Seattle youth to Ross Lake for North Cascades Wild.
